If you’re following this blog, you may have noticed a gradual slowing of activity in recent months. This has been a wind down in preparation for a very big year ahead with a very demanding client: our new baby!
Our due date is January 3 and we’ve already been advised that baby’s arrival can be any day now. What this means for my business and my blog:
- I will be completely off for the first few months of 2011: no client work, no blogging.
- I may take a limited number of projects for existing clients in the spring, but won’t be actively pursuing new work.
- If what they say is true and I will miss using my brain for ‘adult’ purposes, I’ll get back to blogging occasionally. I think I’m going to let the baby dictate just how often that will be.
- I will be checking in on phone messages and e-mails periodically, but not often, especially in the first few months of the year.
First and foremost, my plan for next year is to see how it unfolds and just go with the flow.
